I feel similarly, although right now I'm using the &lt;a href="http://ryowebsite.com/?p=46" rel="nofollow"&gt;WordPress ‘Category Visibility’ Plugin&lt;/a&gt; to hide the tweets category from my feeds and my front-page, but still archiving them (because the twitter feeds seem pretty unreliable).
